Why you should know? Because someday you’re going to suffer one of these medical conditions listed below and they require medication for life if untreated. However if you decide to go to acupuncture every now and then, your body will get balanced naturally with low-dosage or even no medication.

Do you want to know why? Here we go:

1 – REDUCE CHRONIC PAIN

This is the most common use of acupuncture. There are many researches which have tested their validity for different types of pain. But mostly, it focuses on chronic pain in the back that can result from poor sleeping habits, physical stress, tightness of muscles, long term injury, and pregnancy.  Also knee pain specially after surgery and pain related to aging and osteoarthirits.

2 – REDUCE MIGRAINE

Migraine is a medical condition diagnosed after suffering from headaches (migraines) for over 6 months. Acupuncture guarantees not reaching that chronic stage. Many people also complain about neck pain they have to endure for a long time. And it is proven that acupuncture is actually reliable in reducing the pain especially when it constantly causes headaches, soreness, and tense muscle in the upper back.

3 – PREVENTS AND STOPS VOMITING AND NAUSEA

Usually when a patient is recovering from a surgery, he or she has postoperative experience of feeling nausea and vomiting. Surgery unbalances the body by breaking channels, arteries and veins so blood is disrupted. The older the person is getting surgery, the longer it takes to rebalance. Same happens after C-section or those getting chemotherapy. 

Acupuncture is a great option to treat nausea and vomiting in a general basis but specially over the conditions mentioned above.

4 – TREAT ANXIETY

Studies show that acupuncture is a good way to treat someone’s anxiety including anxiety neurosis, anxiety disorder, and perioperative anxiety.  

Even after one session you can feel the benefits. 

5 – TREAT INSOMNIA

Acupuncture can increase the secretion of melatonin at night. Melatonin is a natural chemical that can induce and aid sleep. Obiously you can take it as a supplement but your body can produce it by itself.

A certain research (more studies are needed about this topic) shows ta patient suffering from insomnia got acupuncture once a weeks during five consecutive weeks and he could feel an improvement on their sleep.

6- REDUCE GASTRITIS, INDIGESTION AND HEARTBURN

When you get acupuncture regularly, you will significantly feel a reducing progression on indigestion and heartburn. Although heartburn and indigestion is commonly happening during pregnancy (1st and 3rd trimester specially) I don’t recommend it. However if you’re suffering from these conditions specially after stomach surgery, then I would definitely give a go.
