Once an electronic, written or verbal booking has been accepted by AcuRodos ®, the client/patient will have entered into an agreement to have treatment, based on these Terms and Conditions.

The term treatment is used for all therapeutic sessions and services detailed on this website.

Protection of your personal data – GDPR

Your right to privacy and security is very important for us. During your treatment consultation you will provide relevant personal information relevant to maintaining our patient-practitioner relationship and used for tailoring your treatment. This information will be kept confidential, stored securely and maintained accurate by updating it as advised by you.  Examples of personal information include name, address, e-mail address and DOB for identification purposes only. I also use a consultation form which also includes health background along with my TCM Diagnosis and notes. I only write what is necessary and helpful in your case so as to serve you best. I’m also required to take your GP details as per AFPA guidelines.

  1. Your Data is Protected:  I take the role of the ‘Data Controller’ of your personal information very seriously. Rest assured that I will never share your personal information to any third parties. We only use paper records of your consultation and online records stored at Fresha Booking. Paper records will be filed away in a locked cabinet and I will have the key with me at all times. Upon written request, you may demand that we issue a copy of the personal information held about you. This request will be communicated by e-mail ONLY. Provision of such information will be subject to the payment of a processing fee (currently €10) and two forms of identification, within 10 days from receipt of suitable forms of identification. I will destroy your personal files at your request if you move to a different acupuncturist or practitioner. I keep patients records for up to 7 years after the last booking session.
  2. You have rights under GDPR:  Your personal information will never be transferred outside of the EU. You will be notified immediately if there is a reason to believe that your personal information has been read by any other parties without your permission.
  3. Your rights to information within AcuRodos®:  Upon your request and within 30 days (unless you are notified of a difference to this time scale) we will inform you about the type of personal information AcuRodos holds about you, the purposes for which we hold it and the possible recipients or types of recipients. Upon written request and within a reasonable period of time AcuRodos® will also correct, delete and/or block personal information from further processing if that information proves to be factually inaccurate, incomplete, or irrelevant to the purpose(s) of the processing.
  4. Marketing & Social Media:  We may ask for your permission to list your name and a testimonial about your experience with AcuRodos®. If you grant us this permission, your name and comment will appear among other “Testimonials”.

You may request that we issue a copy of the personal information held about you. Payment

Payment are due in full at the end of your session, in cash or by Fresha Online Booking system which charges completely after the session is finished.

Fresha Booking requires your card details in advance to confirm the appointment.

The fee for the treatment or service will be deemed due accordingly. No refund is applicable if treatment has been completed.

In case of treatment packages are tailored to be taken within a certain period of time, which may differ by package. You are advised to schedule your whole treatment plan when you pay for a package, to make sure that you can fit in all treatments of a package within its validity. Unless these sessions are booked in advance, there is no guarantee that your practitioner will be available. If you don’t take all treatments within the set time, the applicable discount no longer applies and you are only entitled to non-discounted treatment sessions equivalent to the amount paid. These sessions expire six months after the first treatment of the package. 

Refunds or partial refunds for packages are not applicable, unless the package is cancelled by your practitioner, in which case the amount corresponding to the standard price of the sessions taken until that point will be retained.

Cancellation

No Show and Late Cancellation fees may applied. During your online booking through Fresha Booking you’ll be informed in detail.

When a cancelled session is part of a discounted prepaid package, the entitlement to that particular session from the package is lost.

Should you run late for an appointment, your practitioner may not be available beyond the time slot reserved for you, and in some cases it may not be feasible to start the session. If at all possible, please inform your practitioner of any delay. Your session may be cancelled if they have not heard from you within 15 minutes of the agreed appointment time. No refund will be applied.

Health and wellbeing are the responsibility of the individual. Advice and treatments provided by AcuRodos ® are complementary and not an alternative to conventional medical opinion or treatment. Your only ‘diagnosis’ will be from a classical Chinese Medicine point of view and your treatment won’t claim to ‘cure’, but to bring about change which can help your body to heal itself. 

There are few contraindications to the treatments offered by AcuRodos®, and they don’t always mean that a treatment cannot take place. During your initial consultation you should inform your practitioner of any medical conditions you have and those you have suffered with in the past, and provide updates at subsequent sessions if any of the discussed aspects change. It is your responsibility to check with your medical practitioner in case you suffer from a condition and/or are in doubt whether to have treatment. The information contained in this site is for general guidance on matters of health interest only.
