Jose Rodriguez LAc BSc

Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner

I am a fully accredited TCM Practitioner and hold an B Sc in Food Science from University of Barcelona and a HND in Health, Diet and Nutritional Studies from University of Vic, Spain. I have extensive experience in working with people.

I founded AcuRodos  because I want to provide a pragmatic and effective approach to acupuncture and lifestyle based on Chinese Medicine which is tailored to the individual needs of each person attending. I work in a one-to-one relationship with the client in a confidential and safe setting, working to develop the client’s own self-awareness and by doing so assist each individual in finding their own way forward through their difficulties. As a therapist I am guided by the needs and concerns of the person attending for therapy.

I work with adult clients helping them deal with a wide range of issues. My areas of expertise include Musculoskeletal disorders, pain, anxiety and stress, digestive disorders, headache and migraines, sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, sleeping disorders, insomnia, hypertension and allergic rhinitis

I am a member of AFPA, the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association in Ireland and as such I fully comply with Association’s Code of Ethics and Best Practice. I am fully insured and consider my own continual academic and personal development as essential to the effective conduct of my practice.

I was always fascinated by science growing up, thriving in human anatomy. How the human body functions is simply fascinating to me. When I decided to focus my professional career on medicine it was Traditional Chinese Medicine that appealed to me, its teachings and practices where the ones that resonated with me most.

I strongly believe that disease is the consequence of an unbalanced body. The more unbalanced the body the more symptoms we see. These symptoms can present themselves in many ways, they can manifest as physical changes or as emotional and behavioral changes. These symptoms are messages your body is sending you to tell you something is not right. We need to learn to listen more to what our bodies are trying to tell us!

Chinese medicine or TCM joins the power of Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Nutrition and physical exercises to correct imbalances found in the body. This not only allows the body to heal itself but also helps to prevent other illnesses.
